On the Friday night we returned to Hemdat Yamim to hear North Cregg. The music was excellent - but we were very disappointed with the place this time. They packed us in, and the service was lousy. It took over an hour to get a drink, and Carol didn't get her toasted sandwich until half an hour after that. They were great. I talked a bit to Desi in the break and bought one of their CD's. I only wish more Irish bands/singers would come to Israel. NO! I do not like Sharon! I have never liked him, and my lifetime hatred was melded in 1982 in Lebanon. Besides that, my son has been given a "perk" by the Army (before his demob) - he's doing a swimming lifeguard's course, and, of course, he's moaning about how hard it is! I had to remind him that, when I did that course, I was nearly 35, working full time in charge of an 8 man accounts department, and I hadn't just completed nearly 3 years of Army (physical) training. If I'd been born in Israel, that would have been my first war! Looks like not much changed between then and 1982, the Lebanon war, which I was part of, and now. Politicians and generals with no idea what's going on. Other generals knowing exactly what's going on and covering it up or denying it!
