On Thursday night we went up to a place called Hemdat Yamim in the mountains near Zfat (Safed) to hear an Irish group called Cran.

They were great. I talked a bit to Desi in the break and bought one of their CD's.
I only wish more Irish bands/singers would come to Israel.

I'm glad we went to see them there rather than at the Tel Aviv cinemateque - more atmosphere in a small pub-like place with tables and drinks etc.

Pity they didn't have Guinness or even Murphy's.
